Electrical Design Engineer  - The Role:

• Develop hardware aspects of the control systems, to include connectivity of PLCs, I/O,
• Drives, HMIs, SCADA and Programmable Safety Systems.
• Designing control systems for bespoke machinery including documentation of the design process
• Producing Electrical schematic drawings & panel layout drawings using EPlan P8 or Solidworks Electrical
• Providing input into the design and specification of electrical systems while at conceptual stage
• Assisting of installation of electrical components to bespoke machinery where required
• Travelling to customer’s sites to install wiring and wire up new machines when necessary
• The creation and appropriate maintenance of URS, FDS and associated design
• information.
• Liaise with clients & ensuring that functional design specifications capture requirements are correct
• Attend project start up and end of project review meetings
• Liaise with sub-contract suppliers of electrical systems.

Electrical Design Engineer  - The Person:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• Experience of working with complex electromechanical systems
• Understanding of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and control panel design
• Use of EPlan Electric P8 or Solidworks Electrical software desirable
• Fault-finding of electrical and electronic circuitry.
• Pneumatic design experience would be highly desirable.
• A willingness to travel and the ability to be flexible in the work you carry out and area you work in.
• Attention to detail and a quality driven mentality.

Located in the Bedfordshire area, this role would be commutable from Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, Kempston, Bletchley and surrounding areas.
