Control System Engineers 

£30,000 - £65,000 DOE + Pension, Car, Bonus & Profit Share

Automation Experts are currently partnering with a number of organisations across the UK to recruit Control System Engineers.

The organisations we are working with range from market leading international corporates to start-up R&D led businesses, from Systems Integrators to End Users and OEMs.

The business sectors we are supporting include; special purpose machinery and automation, renewables and green energy, automotive, food & beverage, marine, defence and agritech.


Control System Engineers - The Role:

  • PLC, DCS, HMI and/or SCADA programming from concept
  • Analysis, design, assessment, implementation & testing of control systems
  • Concept design, detailing, prototyping, testing and documentation for new machinery
  • Project completion from concept design through to implementation including planning and organisation
  • Control panel testing, planning and supervision of installation
  • Drive systems design and programming (AC/DC drives, servo drives and VSDs)


Control System Engineers - The Person:

  • Should have relevant software/hardware engineering background and a proven track record of systems design and implementation based around some of the following:
    • PLC's (Siemens, Allen Bradley / Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, Omron)
    • SCADA packages (Siemens WinCC, Rockewell RSView, Citect, Intouch, VTSCADA)
    • Industrial networks (Modbus TCP, Ethernet-IP, DNP3, IEC61850)
    • Microsoft Development Packages (Microsoft Office, SQL)
    • Electrical Design Packages (AutoCAD, EPlan etc.)
  • Engineering project documentation
  • Full project lifecycle project management


There is also the opportunity with a number of our clients to gain further training to expand your controls knowledge and where appropriate move towards chartered status.
