Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Designing and draughting equipment for marine-based handling applications
• Creating engineering documentation
• Design verification through hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Provision of innovative design solutions for demanding applications, providing technical input to bids and enquiries and solving problems experienced during equipment build and test in the workshop
• Support for in-service issues may also form part of the role

Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or apprenticeship with HNC
• Experience with solid modelling using CAD tools
• Background creating and checking high quality production drawings
• Experience of stress analysis using hand calculations and finite element analysis.
• Willing to Travel UK and sometimes overseas

Located in Midlothian, this role would be commutable from Edinburgh, Livingston, Dunfermline, Loanhead and Peebles.

Role would be suitable for Engineers with experience in Industrial, Marine or Subsea applications.
