Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Take full responsibility for all aspects of engineering conception and delivery within projects
• Engage with a diverse range of applications including power conversion systems, industrial automation, thermal management systems, materials science, electronic control systems, industrial software & mechanical machinery
• Be involved in site work, with a typical split of 90% office-based tasks and 10% on-site duties

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Experience of electrical system engineering, specifically with transformers, switches, converters
• Proven experience of control panel design incorporating automation control systems such as PLC/HMI/SCADA
• Knowledge of electrical distribution in machinery
• Experience with an electrical CAD package, preferably Eplan P8
• An interest in or experience with PLC software design and machinery safety

50-60% of projects involve machinery with integrated PLC software, therefore additional PLC software design experience would be excellent OR the interest to learn. This client is ideally looking to bring this skill in-house. They are also very keen to see Engineers with machinery safety background.
