This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to become a Director in Operations and Production to join a growing, ambitious manufacturer of automation and robotic solutions, which supplies high performance systems to the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Life Science and Diagnostic markets across an increasingly growing international customer base.

Operations & Production Director  

Basic Salary €75-85,000 + €20,000 Annual Bonus. Company Shares. Comprehensive Relocation Package. Pension & Healthcare.

As Operations and Production Director, reporting to the CEO, you will lead the operations and production to drive continuous improvements in project management and operational excellence, internal processes and WIP to maximise profitability on projects.

You will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, electrical and commissioning departments, as well as the warehousing and plant workflows. You will oversee the delivery of projects, production planning, review of project budgets, lead FAT & SAT and staffing requirements, ensuring projects are delivered to time and cost constraints.

Growing and improving this division of the business is a strategic goal. This role will provide lots of visibility and further opportunities for personal progression over the coming years. Duties will include:

  • Building a strong team environment, culture of teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement and project management excellence for automation projects.
  • Co-ordination of design and field service teams
  • Supervision of personnel managing complex projects, worldwide
  • Develop, lead and coach SCRUM, GANTT and other reporting or project management tools

Experience required:

  • Five or more years in the automation, engineering and robotics industry within machine building
  • Experience of project management and operational management within project based business
  • Highly developed Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering leadership
  • Skills to include PLC/Servo Control, Robots and/or Motion Control
  • Excellent customer/client management ensuring customer satisfaction and quality
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to motivate and build high performance, cross-functional teams
