Mechanical Fitter 

£30k - £35k + Pension, Healthcare, Flexitime

Mechanical Fitter - The Role:

• Assist in the machining, manufacturing and build-up of enclosures, equipment, and machinery
• Fitting and assembly work
• Conducting trials and tests on machinery
• Piping, testing and fault-finding pneumatic logic circuits
• Assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers’ sites
• A certain amount of travel is required to support worldwide customer base

Mechanical Fitter - The Person:

• Recognised Engineering certification/apprenticeship
• Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining
• Able to read & understand equipment assembly drawings
• Maintain the high-quality finish and output levels for all work completed
• Proven teamworking, attention to detail and good problem solver
• Ideally some exposure to pneumatics & installation/commissioning work at customer sites
• Able to operate within the requirements of good health and safety discipline

Training will be provided to familiarise the successful applicant with specialist machinery and equipment.

Located in Essex, this role would be commutable from Rainham, Billericay, Chelmsford and Tilbury
