Control Systems Engineer

£40-60k + Profit Share.  Hampshire. Ref: 23646

As a PLC focused Control Systems Engineer, your role will be vital in:

• Creating, debugging and developing PLC code
• Create & implement safety logic using safety PLCs
• Participating in the creation of Functional Description Specifications (FDS)
• Designing and documenting testing systems for debugging, safety, and reliability
• Travelling to clients' locations for commissioning or servicing
• Overseeing the successful installation of PLC and Robot programs

The ideal candidate for the Control Systems Engineer role should have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field
• At least 3 years of experience as a PLC Programmer
• Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages
• Experience with Robotics (Fanuc preferred) ideal - not essential
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and control processes
• A UK valid driving licence and the ability to travel when required
• This company work with Allen Bradley PLC's, however, should you have experience of other packages such as Siemens, we are still keen to talk to you as training will be provided
• Ability to complete all relevant documentation including FDS & test specifications
• Knowledge of IT programming languages i.e. C#, VB highly advantageous
