Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Report to the Controls & Automation Manager
• Manage small projects
• Working on your own initiative, producing detailed design drawings
• Design and detailing using AutoCAD or E-plan of both bespoke and standard equipment/systems and ensuring quality standards/procedures are met
• Control panel layout and design from one off machines to multi panel build and installation, working to customer provided specifications (URs) to EU Legislation
• Cable and switchgear component sizing to suit motor and pump specifications
• PLC/HMI selection in conjunction with the software engineering department.
• Specification and sourcing of components, consumables and other hardware to meet requirements and project cost targets

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Knowledge of the latest developments from technology platforms
• Be willing to work to UL508 panel/circuit design and AS/NZ current regulations  
• Understanding of European Legislation especially EN ISO 13849-1/2' the safety related parts of the control system, 18th Edition, PUWER regulations, & Machinery directive/CE/CA marking
• Experience of Testing of Control Panels/Systems
• Minimum HNC qualified

Located in the North West, this role would be commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Rochdale, Bury, Huddersfield, Accrington, Burnley, Blackburn and surrounding areas.
